The RED engineer, Todd, is the boyfriend of Luci, the BLU female medic.
Since they're on opposite teams, their love is forbidden.
The RED spy had his suspicions about Todd and Luci's relationship and decided to expose them (cause he can :I). He disguised himself as Luci and went to Todd to try to capture him saying "I love you" directed towards Luci. When Todd finally said it, the spy uncloaked. Todd fought with him for the tape, but spy ended up pinning the engineer to his own workshop table and sawed his hand off with his own table saw.
Don't worry, after Todd got the gunslinger, he got his revenge
